Mr. Basil Lung

Basil Lung

The adventure life begins when I first joined the Club Scout during my primary school time. The activities I learn were generally campcrafts and outdoor living skills. Later in the secondary school years, I always go for jungle trekking and camping trips nearby during school holidays. My adventure playground changed when I was in Taiwan for five years of veterinary medicine study. After complete the study, I were employ by the university animal hospital as a department head and thus I used all the free time and holidays to go for long outings. Mountains with rock and ice became my frequent trekking ground in those years in Taiwan .

Knowing Mr. Tham Yau Kong in early 1997 is the high light for my adventure life. He became my best friend and guru in all the expeditions and adventure journeys. Long walking trips, jungle trekking, mountain explorations & multi-days mountain biking expeditions…

My rock climbing activities started in 2004. I took up rock climbing certification courses of Sport Climbing, Traditional Rock Climbing and Alpine Rock Climbing on Mt Kinabalu, Sabah.

By February 2005, I discovered a very seclude rockface with a little waterfall beside. This is a long abandon quarry at Inanam. With friends, we clear the rockface & surrounding area, set up a few sport climbing routes which are good for beginners & intermediate rock climbers to practice climbing skills. This place became our first natural rock climbing site until now….

Adventure is a journey of calculated risk and excitement to the unknown future…
